For Shared Hosting Customers

If you are a shared hosting customer, simply open a support ticket through the Control Panel and we will be able to assist you in getting upgraded.

For Dedicated Server Customers

If you are on a Dedicated Server that has the PowerDNN Control Suite on it, simply use the Control Suite to easily upgrade to the version of DotNetNuke that you want.  If it does not have the version of DotNetNuke you are looking for, you may add the newest version of DotNetNuke to your server.

For Non-PowerDNN Customers

If you are a non-PowerDNN customer and you would like to get your site upgraded to the latest version, please contact us and our engineering team can assist you with your needs.

The PowerDNN Upgrade Process

As every DotNetNuke expert knows, upgrading DotNetNuke is not an easy process and sometimes things do not go exactly as you expect them to.

At PowerDNN, we follow the process below to ensure that your websites are upgraded correctly and to your satisfaction.

1)  We make a complete backup of your Website Files and SQL Database.

2)  We apply the new package and ensure that DotNetNuke upgrades without errors.

3)  You review the upgraded website and do one of the following:
A)  You "Bless" the upgraded website and we call the process successful.
B)  You and the PowerDNN team troubleshoot the website to resolve any upgrade issues (broken modules, etc).
C)  You "Curse" the upgraded website and PowerDNN rolls back the upgrade.

This process helps ensure that DotNetNuke websites are always upgraded correctly and efficiently, and if they are not, it allows us to easily troubleshoot any issues as well as issue a rollback if necessary.
